Personnel Dredge Water Channel on Jalan Cempaka Putih Raya

Tens personnel from Cempaka Putih Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit, Central Jakarta, dredged water channel on Jalan Cempaka Putih Raya, Friday (9/25).

We start dredging work from August 30 and target it to finish by the end of September

Cempaka Putih Sub-district SDA Unit Head, Subandi said, dredging should be done to prevent inundation in rainy season. Thus his side dredged mud with thickness about 40-60 centimeters from the 850-meter long water channel.

"We start dredging work from August 30 and target it to finish by the end of September. We deploy 15 Cempaka Putih SDA personnel to dredge the mud," he stated.

Connecting Channel in Cipinang Melayu Repaired

According to him, his side put the mud into the sack first, drained it at the location, then disposed it to Ancol PLTU, North Jakarta.

"This dredging work is not too hard. Sometimes we found debris and tree trunks from the channel, but we can handle it," he mentioned.
